Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
Alphabetically lists information for diseases and health conditions.  Emphasizes prevention of chronic and acute diseases.  Posts public health hoaxes and "urban legends".

Health and Resources Services Administration (HRSA)
Has information on primary medical care, including rural health programs, maternal child health programs, Indian Health Service

Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) 
Programs for prevention and treatment of substance abuse problems and mental health issues.

National Institute of Health (NIH)
Oversees many smaller agencies that perform medical and health research.  Also oversees the National Library of Medicine which has an on-line medical dictionary.

Healthfinder
Provides assistance to the public with any type of questions about health and/or medicine.
